About Me

I learned to sew as a young girl at my grandmother's knee. During my high school years I made my own clothes and later I sewed for my husband and children. In 2002 I walked into a quilt shop and my love of quilting was born. Having fallen in love with the art of quilting, I wanted to teach others the joy of having material come alive and become special works of art so my best friend Leslie and I taught quilting at a Saturday morning quilt group called Royal Threads.

In 2006 I purchased my APQS Millennium, which I named "Alice" in memory of my mom, which began my journey of long arm quilting.

I love loading a quilt top and watching the transformation take place as thread is applied.

Using a variety of rulers, templates, stencils and free hand patterns I am able to add texture and design to your special quilt top. I also have a variety of pantographs to chose from and will gladly order any pattern you may desire if I don't have it on hand.

I have taken many classes with some top quilters, such as Karen McTavish, Myrna Ficken, Deloa Jones, Jamie Wallen and Sue Patton which has added to my quilting skills. I am active in Northwest Quilters, Mt. Hood Quilt Guild, the Moxies Long Arm Guild and am a member of both the American Professional Quilters and International Machine Quilters Association.
